An exciting new opportunity has arisen within Centrax Customer Support Division for a Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Engineer position which primarily consists of studying, characterising, measuring and analysing failure (root cause analysis) and repair of equipment provided by Centrax.
This role is pivotal to our Engine Repair, Engineering and Quality departments. The postholder will conduct R&M tasks with the aim of improving the reliability and the durability of Centrax generator sets. Reporting to the Customer Support Operations Manager, the role is Newton Abbot office based with occasional travel to Centrax customer and supplier sites as required and will be the main quality relay within Customer Support.
Start date will be subject to satisfactory pre-employment screening.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Study, characterise, measure and analyse failures (root cause analysis), MTBF
  • Categorise repairs of equipment provided by Centrax Field and Engine Repair engineers
  • Write and process nonconformity reports
  • Contribute towards continuous improvement processes
  • Analyse operational and performance data of equipment provided by Centrax
  • Liaise with the operation team, customers, suppliers and subcontractors on R&M issues
  • Work within the current quality management system requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or HNC, with 3-5 years’ relevant R&M work experience
  • Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook PowerPoint, experience with any ERP system
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electromechanical systems
  • Holder of full Driving Licence valid in the UK and Passport valid for travel
