Business Systems Analyst/Programmer

Centrax are looking for a Business Systems Analyst/Programmer to support the IT systems and Infrastructure with other members of the IT department.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Responsible for running and maintaining the IT systems in all the Centrax Group of companies.
  • To maintain the software systems that are used in the business. Be familiar with virtualised environments and their operation and maintenance. Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft office family of software and their backend server technology. To be able to analyse and solve and seek solutions to problems in an efficient manor, while keeping to the processes and procedures of the department. Take on projects that will involve balancing day to day support with project objectives. Able to support the day to day running of reporting systems and Business Intelligence.
  • Understand the fundamentals of the core Business Systems and the likely impact they may have on people and processes.
  • Able to work and cooperate within a small team to achieve the team and company objectives. To prioritise work inside the scope of the department working practices. Liaising and being able to communicate to internal colleagues and external suppliers. Demonstrate a willingness to consider new ways of approaching solutions.
  • Suggest and bring new ideas to the team and company that will improve the current systems and their operation.
  • To professionally represent Centrax Gas Turbine Division to all external parties.

Knowledge & Skills

Essential:

  • Microsoft Server Technology
  • Microsoft Windows (8/10/11)
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • VBScript or Other Programming Language/s
  • Proficient in writing fine-tuned SQL queries and stored procedures
  • ERP systems
  • Business Intelligence
  • Document Management Systems
  • Microsoft Office
  • Be able to recognize and resolve system related problems. Work independently and make necessary decisions when needed in line with the department procedures.
  • Design, develop, document, analyse, create, test and modify computer systems, programs and integrations.
  • Be able to collate user requirements or questions on a business system and give feedback where necessary or make systems changes as required.
