Centrax is looking to appoint a flexible person who is a part CIMA/ACCA qualified with relevant costing knowledge & experience to support the Finance Department in meeting stringent reporting deadlines. The post holder is also required to assist in the management of all aspects of the financial accounting of the Centrax Limited group of companies and overseas subsidiaries and the production of management accounts and compliance to statutory requirements. Reporting to the Divisional Accountant, this position will be Newton Abbot office based.

The post holder is also required to assist in the management of all aspects of the financial accounting of the Centrax Limited group of companies and overseas subsidiaries and the production of management accounts and compliance to statutory requirements. Reporting to the Divisional Accountant, this position will be Newton Abbot office based. Start date will be subject to completion of satisfactory pre-employment screening.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Inventory relief – Cost of Sales
  • Charging CMC funds for work in the Turbine Repair Activity, material and Labour - Job costing
  • Provision of information for raising invoices against customers both external and internal
  • Charging costs to Centrax own engine fleet
  • Monitoring Turbine repair Work in Progress
  • Analysis of Monthly Cost of Sales for the Customer Support Activity
  • Manage Labour WIP stock values and releasing to P&L when required
  • Calculating Labour cost rates factory WIP and fully absorbed overheads.
  • Correct Syteline stock valuation records where necessary including repaired and used parts.
  • Undertaking monthly stock reconciliations to the General ledger both materials and Labour.
  • Provide monthly analysis of stock holding.
  • Provide cover for Project costing.
  • Review processes involved in, stock valuation and releasing to cost of sales.
  • Pursue increased automation and timeliness of reporting without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Prepare Limited Risk Service Providers (LRSP’s) Accounts & Manage Administration
  • Working with In country Advisors & Tax Authorities
  • Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
  • Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports
  • Develop updates and improvements for accounting systems
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
  • Ensure financial reporting systems comply with government regulations and legislation
  • Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
  • Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports
  • Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
  • Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies
  • Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations
  • Report timely and accurate financial information
  • Assist in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders and board members
  • Processing of customs documentation

Essential Skills & Requirements

  • Part qualified CIMA/ACCA with several years of experience in a business or finance environment
  • Proven experience within a manufacturing background
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
