Centrax is seeking an IT Infrastructure Analyst to provide an efficient and effective service for the IT Department.
To support the IT Infrastructure and Systems with other members of the IT team. This role is Newton Abbot office based. Start date will be subject to completion of satisfactory pre-employment screening.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for assisting, running and maintaining of the IT systems in the Centrax Group of companies.
Reporting to the IT Manager, the post-holder is:
Responsible for providing an excellent level of 3rd line support to our IT infrastructure. Specifically, the server hardware, virtualised servers and LAN/WAN networks including Firewalls.
Able to manage the storage and backups and contribute to the Disaster Recovery plan.
Able to document procedures for the systems and also keep the company systems up to date in line with current industry standards.
Possess strong troubleshooting skills of systems, network and applications.
Assist with the helpdesk when needed with issues that may be of a general IT nature.
Able to work within a small team to achieve the team and company objectives.
Able to communicate well at all levels and to build relationships.
Demonstrate a willingness to consider new ways of approaching solutions.
Able to escalate an issue to another member of the team in a timely manner if needed.
To professionally represent Centrax companies to all external parties.
Required Skills & Experience
Degree in IT or related subject or equivalent training and experience.
Experience in Infrastructure Architecture and design LAN/WAN, Networks and Servers including designing solutions.
Good understanding of virtualised environments.
Experience with Windows operating systems (Server/Desktop).
Experience of the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
Knowledge of Exchange server on premise and in the cloud.
Experience with Cisco Meraki Networks.
Able to support, configure and troubleshoot infrastructure systems.
Understand Cloud computing.
Understand Firewall technologies and security principles.
Experience with Virus Protection Software and Technologies.
Cloud Phone system experience.
Able to document new systems setups and configurations.
Have analytical and problem-solving capability being able to question and answer using an active listening philosophy and have an articulate manner. Be willing to learn from others in the team on problem-solving of common issues and fixes. Be trained to have a confident telephone and remote support capability.
A willingness to support our European customers when and if required.
