Overview
British Sugar (Cantley) factory has recently undertaken a major investment in its Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant as it continues to decarbonise its operations, whilst increasing energy efficiency.
This investment has led to the replacement of a coal fired boiler and a gas fired package boiler with a new and modern CHP scheme powered by a CX300-1S gas turbine generator set.
Key points
- Reduced emissions
- Modernised industrial processing
- Increased efficiency
- Minimising carbon footprint
