Overview
The purpose of the IESP is to provide Inuvik and Tuktoyaktuk and surrounding communities with a reliable source of fuel required for power, heat, and transportation. There have been periods during the coldest months of the year, where access to fuel delivery was limited, that resulted in local emergency energy crises.
IESP chose Centrax Gas Turbines NA to build and supply two (2) A05 5.7MW GTG Packages to meet the extreme temperatures in Tuktoyaktuk so the people would have a reliable source of electricity and heat during the extreme cold.
The local population will be relying upon the facility for their essential heating and transportation fuels. Centrax NA met the requirements and delivered on time to Tuktoyaktuk, NT.
