Senior Sales Manager – Centrax North America

Centrax North America incorporating OnPower Inc, part of the Centrax Group of companies, is based in Lebanon, Ohio and operates within the industrial power generation market.

Centrax North America are looking for an experienced industry professional, the candidate will have a minimum of 10 years relevant market experience. The candidate will have an in depth understanding of the industrial power generation market, understanding the historic landscape, existing major suppliers, competition challenges and be able to identify, and pursue, future opportunities. The candidate will have experience negotiating at a senior level and feel comfortable representing Centrax NA at all levels within the market. Based primarily in the USA the candidate will be happy to travel extensively to represent Centrax NA to existing and potential customers in both the original equipment and after sales markets, with the expectation being that this role will require the candidate to travel at least 60% of their time.

The candidate will be responsible for leading the Sales and Marketing function to expand into new and existing markets and to provide commercial direction to Centrax NA.

Working with and alongside the Centrax sales and marketing function, the candidate will be responsible for preparing Centrax NA annual marketing strategy, plans and analysing the market and competitors. This collaborative approach with the Centrax Team will ensure consistency across the Group approach. The candidate will be expected to deliver a high quality customer experience associated with a world class engineering and manufacturing facility as well as providing day to day management and leadership of the sales and marketing function and activities.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Work closely with Centrax NA shareholders, directors and other senior team members in order to define the commercial strategy for Centrax NA
  • Promote and sell profitable Centrax NA solutions within a complex, multinational business landscape
  • Find new After Market Opportunities and expand existing customer relationships.
  • Work in partnership with all Centrax Group and Centrax NA departments to ensure that what is being requested by customers can be made to their specification, budget and delivery requirements and liaise with customers to understand and refine specifications
  • Assume responsibility for preparing and submitting quotes and scopes of work to meet customer specifications
  • Maintain and develop strategic long-term relationships with Customers, Suppliers and all other interested parties
  • Represent the company at senior levels within the customer base to ensure that relationships are enhanced, to ensure Centrax NA remains at the forefront of the market
  • Lead processes covering multiple geographic areas and varied market segments, to manage sales (lead generation and targeting, networking, tender and bid processes)
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Centrax NA team ensuring that there is an effective handover throughout the Sales process, from initial market evaluation to successful project handover
  • Maintain up to date market knowledge including competition for example Industrial Power Generation markets (Paper, ceramics, food) grid support, district heating, data centres, Government incentives and subsidies, and the international political energy framework
  • To professionally represent Centrax NA to all external parties

Knowledge & Skills

Essential:

  • Bachelors degree in relevant topic advantageous10 years relevant industry experience, power generation preferred.
